  1. The lower picture is of Elsie Wallbutton. The shop is a corner shop and not anything garage or cycle related. Charlie was a haulage contractor of some sort prior to having the garage. The sign to the left indicating this. This area was probably a yard. The large window top left was a wheelwrights workshop. They used to lift the parts up to this level through the ceiling of the lower room to this floor for assembly. (or make above and lower ?) Fred Lang who worked with me at the garage said his father was one of the wheelwrights. Charles Thomas Wallbutton also started a business in the name of Burnham on sea Motor Company in Regent Street on 3rd April 1935
